The work
Paid projects and just-for-me stuff, all mixed together. Open a section, click a picture to see it big.
Murals and painted spaces10
Blank walls, meet paint. Rooms, walls and the occasional kitchen cabinet.
Weddings and events15
The whole thing: flowers, setup, signs and the morning-of scramble. Three weddings (one of them mine), plus showers and parties.
Paintings21
Oils, acrylics and watercolors. Mostly just for me, a few for people I love.
Plastic wrap series6
The newest experiment: paint squished under plastic wrap, then pen linework on top. Spectacular messes, on purpose.
Drawings and studies8
Charcoal, graphite, colored pencil and ink. Where it all started.
Sketchbooks and journals11
Two of my sketchbooks live in the permanent collection of the Brooklyn Art Library's Sketchbook Project. (Yes, really.) The rest live on my shelf.
Logos and graphic design13
Logos, menus, cards and print pieces for small businesses, friends and family. Clarity first, then the fun part.
Wearable art4
Clothes that got paint on them on purpose.
Classes and workshops7
Paint nights, staff workshops, kids' lessons and a lotus class I've taught twice. Perfectionists need not apply.
Meditation visualizations3
Made with AI help, from what I see in meditation. Some things are easier to show than say.
About
I'm Tracy, a creative problem creator (& solver). I taught high school art, then started Tracespective in 2002 with private art lessons and never really stopped.
These days it's murals, logos, paintings, invitations, classes, the occasional wedding where I somehow end up doing the flowers, the setup and all of it, and the occasional "how did you even make that?" project.
I don't chase work. Most of it finds me through friends of friends. If you're a good person with a project that matters to you, or it's quick & easy for me and hard for you, let's talk. Bonus points if you love animals or Georgia O'Keeffe.

The Renewal Weekend
I asked 15 of my amazing women friends if they had a weekend open in October & 13 of them had the same one! If that's not a sign, idk what is... A long weekend by the ocean for women who are very good at taking care of everyone else. It's coming back every year.
The un-rules
Nothing is mandatory. Nap through the sound bath, sit on the beach alone with your coffee, drift in and out. If your social battery is at 5%, bring the 5% and just be.
The caretaker detox
Our only challenge. When you get up for a glass of water, do not ask the room if anyone needs anything. A "Where Am I?" board keeps everyone safe without anyone keeping track of you.
What fills the days
Coastal walks, stretch and flow, a live sound bath, chair Reiki, quiet mornings, a celebration feast, and an Art Station open all weekend. Perfectionists need not apply.
What it isn't
No networking energy, no culty vibes, no venting trap. Real life is welcome. We're there to set things down, not pick more up.

Plan it like I do
The planning brain behind three weddings (one of them mine) and a bachelorette weekend, as prompts you can paste into Claude or ChatGPT. Swap the brackets for your details, then keep talking to it.
Build your planner
Build me a Google Sheet to plan a [wedding / shower / birthday / party weekend] for about [number] guests with a total budget of [amount]. Make tabs for: checklist, budget, vendors, day-of timeline, guests, seating, decor and supplies (with a return-by date column), flowers, drinks, photo list and music. Totals and balances should add up on their own. Give me the column headers for each tab and the formulas I need.
Get the checklist out of your head
I'm planning [event] on [date] at [venue type: backyard, rented hall, restaurant]. Give me a checklist grouped into Early, Middle, Final month, Week of and Day before. Include the boring stuff people forget: testing lights and sound, wrapping chairs, sign and easel, rental pickup, returning unused supplies.
Work the day backward
The ceremony starts at [time] and the venue opens at [time]. Build an hour-by-hour plan starting the day before, with who does each thing. I have [number] helpers. Include setup, hair and makeup, photographer arrival, bartender setup, ceremony, dinner, toasts, cake, dances, breakdown and pickup.
Drinks without the math
I have [number] guests who drink and a [number]-hour bar. We're serving [wine / beer / champagne toast / one signature cocktail / full bar]. Tell me how many bottles or cans of each to buy and show your math so I can adjust pour sizes.
What am I forgetting?
Here is my plan: [paste it]. Act like a coordinator who has done a dozen of these and is a little bossy. List what I've missed, what will go wrong on the day, and what I should hand to someone else.
Start a project
An inquiry form is on its way. Fair warning, it has a budget question with three answers: I have one, I have a vibe, let's talk.
Until then, if you found this page, you probably know how to find me. Or say hi on Substack.
